Supporting our community
IronOak believe in giving back and we're proud to support our community through sponsorship
Lisa Garrud, Miss Skate
Lisa trains and competes in the world of artistic roller skating (not to be confused with roller derby). She has won medals in her grade at NZ Nationals, Australian Nationals and Oceanias. Lisa is also a small business owner and coaches learn-to-skate classes. IronOak have proudly sponsored Lisa for the last two years. Our Director, Daniel Smithwood says, "Having been a competitive sportsperson myself, high performance sportspeople always have my respect, especially when it's in addition to full time work, small business ownership and parenting!" You can follow what Lisa's up to on Facebook.
"GOLD!!! Masters Creative Solo Dance. Despite falling, I managed to get it back together enough! Thank you so much to my sponsor IronOak Financial Services for getting me here! If you need insurance (in case anything bad happens - more serious than falling in roller skates), then Dan from IronOak is your man!"
Ella Soper, Karate champion
Ella has been involved in Karate since she was five years old. Today, at the ripe old age of 13, she has won multiple titles including being three time New Zealand Champion. Sponsoring Ella seems a natural fit for IronOak. As Director, Daniel Smithwood says, "Ella is local, has incredible support from her family and shows amazing dedication, attitude and work ethic. We're excited to be involved in helping a rising star achieve her goals." You can follow Ella's progress on Facebook or Instagram.
"A massive heart felt thank you to IronOak Financial Services for sponsoring me!! These guys are all about strength, flexibility and performance. A little bit like me."
